St. Padre Pio Catholic Parish

St. Padre Pio Catholic Parish has a long history which runs as far back as 1934, the period in which the sub-parish was created. It was elevated to parish status under Kampala Archdiocese in 2014.

St. Theresa Lesiux

Kakira Parish

Kakira Parish was created in January 1949 with the Rev. Fr. Patrick Duggan as the first Parish Priest from the year 1949-1980. He was succeeded by Rev. Fr. Alois Krombichler MHM in 1981.

St. Lawrence of Brindisi

Kanyogoga Parish

Kanyogoga Parish was established in 2000. Fr. Lawrence Dilraj worked very hard to see that Kanyogoga becomes a full pledged parish separate from St. Joseph’s Parish Busunju.

Holy Trinity Catholic Parish

Mingoro, Arua Diocese

The parish was established in April 2012 by Rt. Rev. Sabino Ochan Odoki, the Local Ordinary of Arua Diocese. Since its erection as a parish, it has remained an active and lively parish.

St. Joseph’s Parish

Busunju

This Parish was established in Nov. 1st 1989 due to the flourishing faith and the long distance from the then mother parish Bukalamuli and entrusted to the Capuchin Friars.

St. Peter Clever Parish

On 14th July 2019, the Parish was opened and Br. Wokuti Richard was installed the first Capuchin parish priest and Br. Kiyemba Emmanuel was appointed the assistant parish priest.

This Fraternity was started in the year 1994 after a decision was reached to start another friary at Kabega-Busunju in Kiyinda-Mityana, on 6th June 1994 in a meeting of Ugandan friars along with the provincial Rev. Bro. Anil.

St. Padre Pio Schools is situated at Busunju on Hoima Road 52 km from Kampala. It is an idyllic and quiet place for learning. St. Padre Pio Primary School was born in 2003 through the great efforts of Br. Lawrence Sequeira.

St. Padre Pio Health Centre III is located at Busunju in Ssekanyonyi sub–county with a population of 40,547. Our Activity covers parts of Sekanyonyi, Kikandwa, among others.

The Institute was started in 2002, March, 5th by the Franciscan Capuchin Friars Minor Fathers. It is located at Namulamba, Busunju Town board in Mityana District.

St Francis Senior Secondary School, Busunju is located 51 kilometres along Kampala– Hoima Road. It was founded immediately after settling in Busunju (St Joseph’s parish) the first Capuchin mission in Uganda.

Situated at Kanyogoga, the school was founded in 2000 by Capuchin Friars at the request of local leaders of Kanyogoga village. The major aim of building the school was to meet the needs of the children of Kanyogoga.
